Acupuncture & Dry Needling in Centurion and Randburg
By a registered acupuncturist
Dr Simune Matthee is a registered acupuncturist and homeopath (MHSc, UJ). Acupuncture places very fine, sterile needles at specific points to support the body's balance, while dry needling targets tight muscle bands and trigger points. Both are commonly used for muscle pain, tension, stiffness, headaches and sports injuries, and can be combined with cupping or homeopathy in a treatment plan. Centurion: Mon–Wed 08:00–17:00 and Sat 08:00–13:00. Randburg (Hope Studio): Fri 08:00–17:00. First session R700, follow-ups R600. Book online or WhatsApp 083 704 5287.
About Me
As a passionate complementary medicine practitioner, I aim to address the root cause of an illness and supporting each person’s journey toward balance and long-term wellness through personalized, natural care. I hold a Bachelors of Health Science in Complementary Medicine and a Masters of Health Science in Homeopathy from the University of Johannesburg. I also obtained my Compounding and Dispensing license through the University of Johannesburg. With compassion and professionalism, I guide clients through their conditions, whether it be physical, emotional or mental, using gentle, personalised therapies.
I use homeopathy as part of whole-person care, and needling for muscle tension and stiffness. Although I’m passionate about using these approaches to help people feel their best, I see people with a wide range of concerns and enjoy helping each person achieve balance and better overall well-being.

Homeopathy
A gentle, individualised approach that uses highly diluted natural substances, chosen to match your physical symptoms, emotional state and overall wellbeing.

Dry needling
Very thin, sterile needles are placed into specific trigger points or tight muscle bands to help release tension and support movement. It is commonly used for muscle pain, tension and sports injuries.

Bio-puncture
Bio-puncture is a gentle, natural therapy where small amounts of homeopathic remedies are injected into specific areas of the body—like muscles, tendons, or trigger points. It is used as part of a treatment plan for pain, inflammation and tissue recovery.

Cupping Therapy
Cupping therapy is a traditional practice that places specialised cups on the skin to create gentle suction. It can help relax tight muscles and support local circulation, and is commonly used for back and neck tension, muscle stiffness and stress.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does Homeopathy work?
Homeopathy uses highly diluted natural substances. Each remedy is chosen individually for your physical symptoms, emotional state and overall wellbeing, as part of a whole-person approach.
Is Homeopathy safe?
Homeopathic remedies are highly diluted and generally well tolerated. Dr Matthee takes a full history first and will advise you if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, treating a child or using other medication.
What is the difference between Acupuncture and Dry needling?
Acupuncture comes from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), where very fine needles are placed at specific points along meridians. Dry needling is based on conventional anatomy and musculoskeletal medicine, with needles placed into trigger points and tight muscle bands to help release tension.
Is Needling painful?
Most people find it uncomfortable rather than truly painful. The needles used are extremely thin so the insertion itself is often barely felt. What you might feel is a mild prick on entry, followed by a dull ache, heaviness, or pressure around the needle site.
How long does it take see improvement?
It varies from person to person and depends on your health history. Dr Matthee will discuss a treatment plan and realistic expectations with you at your first consultation.
Can I claim from my medical aid?
Dr Matthee is not registered with medical aids at this stage, so consultations are paid privately on the day. You'll receive an invoice for your records.
Where can I read patient reviews?
You can read independent patient reviews on Dr Simune Matthee's Google Business Profile – search "Dr Simune Matthee Homeopath Centurion" on Google or Google Maps.
