About Me
As a passionate complementary medicine practitioner, I aim to address the root cause of an illness and supporting each person’s journey toward balance and long-term wellness through personalized, natural care. I hold a Bachelors of Health Science in Complementary Medicine and a Masters of Health Science in Homeopathy from the University of Johannesburg. I also obtained my Compounding and Dispensing license through the University of Johannesburg. With compassion and professionalism, I guide clients through their conditions, whether it be physical, emotional or mental, using gentle, effective therapies.
I’ve witnessed firsthand how homeopathy can make a profound difference for those facing mental and emotional difficulties, and how needling can ease tension and restore mobility. Although I’m passionate about using these approaches to help people feel their best, I treat all types of conditions and enjoy helping each person achieve balance and better overall well-being.

What is it?
Discover the various therapies Dr. Simune Matthee provides and how it can benefit you on your wellness journey.

Homeopathy
A safe, gentle and personalized approach to healing based on the principle of "like cures like"—the idea that a substance that causes symptoms in a healthy person can, in very small doses, treat similar symptoms in someone who is unwell.

Dry needling
Very thin needles are inserted into specific trigger points or tight muscle bands to help release tension, improve blood flow, and promote healing. It is a safe, minimally uncomfortable, and highly effective treatment for injuries and pains.

Bio-puncture
Bio-puncture is a gentle, natural therapy where small amounts of homeopathic remedies are injected into specific areas of the body—like muscles, tendons, or trigger points—to stimulate your body’s self-healing abilities.

Cupping Therapy
Cupping therapy is an ancient healing practice that involves placing specialized cups on the skin to create suction. This gentle technique helps increase blood flow, loosen tight muscles, reduce inflammation, and support the body’s natural detoxification process. It’s commonly used to relieve back and neck pain, muscle tension, fatigue, and stress, and may also assist in boosting the immune system and promoting overall relaxation.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does Homeopathy work?
Homeopathy works by using highly diluted natural substances to stimulate your body’s own healing response. Rather than suppressing symptoms with strong chemicals, it works with your body. Encouraging the body to recognise what is out of balance and correct it from within. Each remedy is carefully chosen to match the individuals physical symptoms, emotional state and mental wellbeing. Treating the whole person.

Is Homeopathy safe?
Yes, homeopathic remedies are gentle, non-toxic, and safe for all ages, including babies, pregnant women, and the elderly.

What is the difference between Acupuncture and Dry needling?
Acupuncture originates from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Needles are inserted at specific points along meridians to restore energy flow and promote healing. While Dry needling is grounded in conventional anatomy, neuroscience, and musculoskeletal medicine. Needles are inserted directly into trigger points to release tension, improve blood flow, and reduce pain.

Is Needling painful?
Most people find it uncomfortable rather than truly painful. The needles used are extremely thin so the insertion itself is often barely felt. What you might feel is a mild prick on entry, followed by a dull ache, heaviness, or pressure around the needle site.

How long does it take see improvement?
The answer varies from person to person, but many clients notice some improvement after their very first session. For others, the benefits build gradually over a course of days or treatments. We’ll always be transparent about your progress and what to realistically expect for your individual situation
